She returned from vacation with absolutely
no intention of inking her drawings.
No. 79
thirty one hours in any car could have that effect on her
No. 78
she was no more pleased with the drawing than with the truck stop itself
(but in my defense, I had about 38 seconds in fading light -- the truck stop had no excuse at all)
No. 77
she wondered if the hotel lamps might become her haystacks
No. 76
it was the best of the series but that wasn't saying a whole lot
No. 75
an ugly chair but not the worst thing in the room
No. 74
the second lamp made the drawings a series
No. 73
no more gifted with hotel chairs than with lamps
No. 72
the first of the celebrated hotel lamp series
No. 71
dismayed to discover that objects drawn without glasses
were no less realistic (no matter how close they appeared)
No. 70
she loved santa fe but knew there were other worthwhile destinations
No. 69
the whole vacation stretched out before her

Welcome back -- I've looked forward to you catching up here. Love the hotel room series!
There must be an entire industry built around designing neutral hotel room furnishings. I always wonder if the artist whose painting is now apparently the framed print hung in every bathroom of the more than 850 Marriott Courtyards worldwide got rich & retired on that distinction. Sadly, probably not...
Thanks, LuAnne! And I'd like to be the artist who was given the opportunity to try to get rich that way, even if it didn't work.
